Ask separately for permission before using an identifiable customer's photo, message, or home setting in a public product post. Explain which image you want to use, where it may appear, and whether you plan to add a caption or product link. A purchase or private message is not marketing consent.
Use only the image and details the customer has agreed to share. Crop out addresses, phone numbers, order labels, and background information that is not needed to show the product. If a safe crop would make the image unclear, use a product-only photo instead.
Keep a record of the permission and the channel it covers, and respect a later request to stop using the image. Follow current privacy requirements and avoid retaining unnecessary copies. Do not imply that one customer's experience is typical or guaranteed for every buyer.
