1. What KobStore collects
When you register, we may collect your business name, contact details, WhatsApp number, location, account credentials, and other information you provide while setting up your storefront or using the dashboard. We also store listing content, product details, order and lead information, messages, settings, and usage data needed to operate the service.
2. How we use your data
We use your information to create and maintain your account, verify your identity, enable your storefront, process payments, send service-related notifications, operate WhatsApp or email communications, provide analytics and market intelligence, improve the platform, and support customer care. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Communications and marketing
KobStore may use WhatsApp, email, and related services to send verification codes, receipts, account alerts, order updates, support responses, and other service messages. If you opt in to marketing communications, we may also send promotional messages from sellers or from KobStore as permitted by law. You can usually opt out of non-essential messages through the relevant link or by contacting us.
4. Payments and processors
Payments are processed through Paystack. KobStore does not normally store card or mobile money details directly; those are handled by the payment provider according to its own security standards.
5. Who we share data with
We may share information with trusted service providers that help us operate KobStore, including payment processors, email providers, WhatsApp messaging providers, hosting and database providers, and analytics or support tools. We only share the minimum information necessary to provide the service.
6. Retention and deletion
We keep account and business information for as long as your account remains active or as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or improve the service. Verification codes and some temporary records are deleted automatically after a short period.
7. Your choices and rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data where applicable. You can also ask us to stop certain communications or to review a specific data request through thecontact page.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to help protect your data. Passwords are stored securely, verification codes expire quickly, and access is limited to the people and systems that need it to operate the service.
9. Children
KobStore is intended for businesses and adults. It is not intended for children under 18.
10. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
