Calculate the fee from actual travel and time, accounting for area and scheduling. State whether it is payable if the customer declines a repair and when an additional visit creates another charge. Do not hide the fee until after dispatch.

Decide whether the call-out covers travel, diagnosis, or a fixed amount of on-site time, and state what happens if the customer approves the repair. Explain whether it is credited toward the work; do not leave that to an assumption. Apply the same published basis to comparable requests, and record customer acceptance before dispatching so disputes about an unexpected fee are less likely.

Tell the customer whether the fee applies if no repair is accepted and what assessment it covers. Apply the same approach to similar work and disclose it before scheduling. A customer should not first hear about the charge after arrival.

Review the fee against real costs and customer responses. List call-out conditions with your service on a KobStore page; create your business listing and clarify the terms before customers enquire.
