Use care instructions printed on the garment or supplied by a reliable maker or source. Photograph the label where practical and transcribe it carefully; do not add a wash temperature, detergent, or colourfastness promise that the label does not support.

If the care tag is missing, name only the fabric properties you can verify and say that maker instructions are unavailable. A general suggestion based on fabric type is not the same as an instruction from the manufacturer, so make that distinction clear.

Describe existing pilling, fading, or damage separately from care guidance. Keep the care note with the exact garment or batch, since blends and dyes can differ. Buyers can then decide how to handle the item without mistaking a seller's suggestion for a guarantee. Keep a separate note when different fibres need different care.
