Check the carrier's current rules for the exact battery type, whether it is installed or loose, and the intended route. Do not assume that acceptance on an earlier shipment applies to a different battery, package, or carrier service.

Read the battery information from its label, protect terminals as required, and use packaging and markings the carrier specifies. Ask the carrier directly when restrictions are unclear, and keep its written guidance with the dispatch record. Never hide a battery from a carrier to get a parcel accepted.

If the carrier will not accept the item or you cannot meet its conditions, arrange another lawful handover or decline the shipment. Check for damage before packing, and do not dispatch a swollen or otherwise unsafe battery. Tell the buyer which delivery options are confirmed.
