For a one-off item, photograph the exact piece a buyer will receive. Use one full view to show its overall shape, then close-ups for marks, repairs, labels, texture, and included parts. Add a ruler or familiar object when scale is hard to judge.
Do not reuse a supplier image or a photo of a similar unit if the finish, wear, or contents differ. Keep the photo set tied to that item's stock record so it cannot be confused with another piece. If lighting changes the colour, add a plain description instead of relying on the image alone.
When the item is reserved or sold, update its availability so the photos do not imply that another identical unit is ready to buy. If several unique items are similar, give each its own photos and description.
