Photograph each colour option separately and attach the image to the exact shade name or code shown in the stock record. Use steady, neutral light, keep white balance consistent, and include the maker's label when it identifies the option. Do not apply a colour filter that makes one variant look like another.
Compare the photo with the physical item before publishing, especially for dyed fabric, paint, cosmetics or goods that vary by batch. Screens and lighting can change how a colour appears, so say when an image is representative rather than exact. For a one-off shade, photograph the actual unit instead of reusing a stock image.
A colour name alone may not distinguish similar variants. Keep the option label, photo and availability linked correctly, and update all three when a batch changes. Invite the buyer to confirm the named shade before payment; do not promise an exact match across different screens or production lots.
