Move a damaged or uncertain unit out of saleable stock and mark it unavailable in every active offer. Put it in a designated hold area, separate from goods ready to sell, and attach a note with the item code, date, and reason for the hold.

Record what was observed and who assessed it. If a supplier, repairer, or regulator needs to advise on the issue, keep the unit on hold until that advice or a suitable inspection resolves the question. Do not remove a safety warning or return an item after only a quick visual check.

Release it only when there is a documented basis for doing so and its condition matches the description buyers will see. Update the quantity and listing at the same time, and retain the hold and release notes so staff can explain the change.
