A multi-item discount should use the actual cost of each eligible product, packaging, payment expense and seller-arranged delivery. Calculate the margin on the full combination, not by multiplying one item's price by the number of items. Write the qualifying quantity and products before announcing the offer.

Keep the discount rule clear: whether variants can be mixed, whether the amount applies per set or order, and when the offer expires. Check stock for every included option and avoid promising a bundle that depends on unconfirmed supplier quantities. A simple example using your own current prices can help staff quote consistently.

A larger basket is not automatically profitable if packing or transport costs rise. Confirm the final item list, amount, payment and handover directly with the buyer, and honour the terms you shared. Remove or revise the promotion when a component sells out or its cost changes.
