Use a comparison price only when the same product was genuinely offered at that amount and you can substantiate the period. Keep dated price records and identify which sizes, colours, or units qualify for clearance. Do not invent a former price to make a discount appear larger.
Show the current price clearly and explain any condition issue, discontinued variant, or end date that limits the offer. If only some units are reduced, separate them from full-price stock so buyers can tell which item the clearance amount covers.
Check current Kenyan consumer-protection requirements for price representations. Remove or update the promotion when its stated period ends, and keep evidence of the prices shown. A clearance label is not a substitute for a genuine comparison or accurate description of the goods. Keep evidence for the original amount and dates shown.
