Describe the actual mattress, including age if known, stains, odour, sagging, repairs, and cleaning history. Photograph both sides, edges, seams, and any visible mark in good light; a clean top surface does not establish the condition inside.
Do not call a used mattress sanitised or hygienic based only on airing, spot-cleaning, or appearance. If its storage history is uncertain or it was kept damp, do not imply it is suitable for resale without an adequate basis. Check applicable consumer and public-health requirements before offering it.
Keep the description tied to the item the buyer will receive, not a sample image. State what you know and what you cannot verify, and explain collection or seller-managed delivery arrangements directly. If a defect or odour becomes apparent later, revise or withdraw the offer.
