Check contracts and confidentiality duties before publishing. Remove names, faces, addresses, financial figures, health details, and documents unless the client has expressly approved their use. If permission is not available, create a generic sample that does not reproduce confidential client material.
Use approved public-facing work, anonymised mock-ups, or recreated examples when client permission is unavailable. Remove metadata and visible details that could identify a person, organisation, address, account, or unreleased project. Check contracts and professional duties before sharing. A portfolio can still explain your method and deliverables without revealing the customer's confidential material or implying that private results belong to you alone.
When a client cannot approve publication, explain your method with a fictional or anonymised example that reveals no underlying records.
When a project is under a confidentiality agreement, ask the client what can be disclosed before using it in sales material. A redacted screenshot can still reveal metadata, logos, or context, so inspect the full image. If permission is uncertain, show a self-created sample with clearly labelled fictional data instead.
Keep consent and source records. Use a KobStore service page to show permitted examples and explain your services; create one.
