Before making a personalised gift, record the exact wording, spelling, design, colours, dimensions, quantity, and agreed price. Send a proof that shows how the finished item will look, and wait for the customer to approve it in writing. Keep the approved version with the order.

Set out when production starts, how many changes are included, and how a requested change could affect the price or completion date. If materials or components are not yet confirmed, say so before taking payment. Do not treat a supplier estimate as a firm production deadline.

Personalised goods may not be suitable for resale, so explain cancellation and alteration terms before the order is agreed and follow applicable consumer rules. If a new change arrives after approval, pause and confirm the revised details rather than relying on an old proof or scattered messages.
