Compare the received product with the current listing when a maker changes packaging, design, model, or included parts. Replace an old image if it could make buyers expect a different version, and state what changed when it affects contents or use.
Keep old images for internal reference if needed, but remove superseded versions from active listings. Photograph the actual new package and check the label, accessories, dimensions, and colour before updating the description. Do not mix details from two versions into one offer.
If an order or enquiry is already in progress, tell the buyer about a material difference before confirming. Date the update and keep stock from different versions separate until the old one is sold. Review saved links and screenshots that still show the previous package where practical.
