A product photo should remove uncertainty. The buyer needs to see the item clearly, understand its size and condition, and know what will arrive. You do not need expensive equipment to provide that information.
Use natural light near a window or a consistent lamp. Clean the lens, remove distracting objects, and use a plain background. Take a front view, a side or back view, a detail view, and a scale view when size matters. Photograph marks, texture, fittings, labels, and packaging honestly. For clothing, include measurements and show the item in its actual colour.
Keep the image style consistent across your storefront. Crop product photos to the same shape where possible and avoid heavy filters that change colour. Add a descriptive image name and alt text when your platform allows it. A clear photo reduces repetitive questions, increases confidence, and helps a customer compare your offer with alternatives.
