Start with the real difference between the plans

KobStore’s plans are built around a straightforward question: how much space and promotion does this business need? Foundation lets a business get started without paying a sign-up fee. Catalyst, Dominion and Legacy are one-time paid plans that add capacity, more photos per ad, a Verified badge and KobStore marketing placement. The plan fee is not a monthly subscription.

  • Foundation ? Payment: Free; Maximum ads: 10; Photos per ad: 1
  • Catalyst ? Payment: KSh 500 once; Maximum ads: 60; Photos per ad: 3
  • Dominion ? Payment: KSh 1,000 once; Maximum ads: 200; Photos per ad: 4
  • Legacy ? Payment: KSh 2,000 once; Maximum ads: 500; Photos per ad: 5

Higher paid plans include greater KobStore marketing placement and higher ranking in KobStore search and recommendations when boosts are not running. Dominion and Legacy also include employee accounts. Check the current pricing page for the latest plan details before purchase.

Why put a limit on a free plan?

The Foundation cap is deliberate. A public business website requires more than a place to upload unlimited posts: every ad has to be stored, shown, moderated and kept useful to customers. Promotion also uses real resources. KobStore invests in putting participating businesses in front of relevant audiences across its platforms and, where available, partner platforms. Keeping Foundation focused on up to 10 ads makes it a practical free starting point, while paid plans provide greater capacity and defined levels of KobStore marketing placement.

The free Foundation plan is a starting point, not a paid marketing package without a price. Ten ads with one photo each are enough for many new sellers to describe their main offers, learn how customers respond and set up a shareable public page. A seller with a large catalogue, more photographs to explain their work or a need for KobStore marketing can choose a paid plan with the capacity that fits.

The one-time payment helps fund KobStore?s marketing work and gives business owners room to present more offers with additional photos. It is a practical next step for owners ready to invest in a larger public presence. Clear, current business and offer information helps customers decide whether the business is right for them.

Understand the Foundation timeline before you star

Foundation is free. Publish your first ad within five days of creating your account. If you do not publish in that initial period, the account enters a five-day notice period before deletion.

When you publish your first ad in time, the Foundation free period lasts 14 days from account registration. During those days, the ads are public and can appear in Google Search. Once the 14 days have ended, the ads are hidden from the public for five days. Upgrade during that five-day period to restore eligible ads and keep the account. If you do not upgrade by the end of the notice period, the account and its ads are permanently deleted.

That is why it is worth completing the business page and posting an accurate first ad soon after registration. Use a real business name, a clear offer, a current price, suitable images and working contact details. If you need more time to prepare, do not wait until the last day to discover that photographs, descriptions or account details are unfinished.

Choose a paid tier by how you actually sell

Catalyst at KSh 500 once is a practical step for a business that has outgrown the 10-ad Foundation limit or wants multiple photos per offer. Its cap is 60 ads, with up to three photos each. Dominion at KSh 1,000 once offers space for up to 200 ads and four photos per ad, plus employee accounts. Legacy at KSh 2,000 once is for a business that needs the highest current capacity: 500 ads, five photos each, priority marketing placement and employee accounts.

Do not choose a higher tier because the largest number sounds impressive. Count the offers you actively maintain. Consider whether additional photos will help a buyer compare size, condition, variations or examples of your work. If one owner manages a focused catalogue, Catalyst may be enough. If several people help manage a wider set of offers, the higher limits and employee accounts may be more useful. The paid plans are one-time fees; separate tools such as boosts or Ad-Free may have their own pricing.

Keep the plan, promotion and sale separate

A paid plan gives higher capacity and the included level of KobStore marketing placement. A boost is an additional paid option for putting a particular ad—or all ads—higher in search and recommendations for a chosen duration. A sale happens between the seller and customer. Understanding those distinctions makes it easier to compare costs and decide what to buy.

No plan can make an unclear offer persuasive by itself. Before upgrading, make sure the public page explains what the business does and the ads answer the questions customers are likely to ask. Then choose the plan whose limits and placement fit the business’s next stage. Review the current terms and pricing in the dashboard before payment; plan limits and optional services should always be checked against the live offer.
